Description

Tirzepatide is a dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist used for weight management and glycemic control in type 2 diabetes. It promotes fat loss by suppressing appetite and delaying gastric emptying.

Effects

Suppresses appetite, reduces caloric intake; delays gastric emptying, increases satiety; improves insulin sensitivity, lowers blood glucose; promotes lipolysis and energy expenditure; achieves significant weight loss, especially in obese or overweight individuals.

Usage

Subcutaneous injection once weekly. Initial dose 2.5 mg, increased to 5 mg after 4 weeks. Based on tolerability, may be further increased to 10 mg or 15 mg for maintenance. Specific dosage and cycle should be followed as per physician's advice. Do not combine with other GLP-1 receptor agonists.

Suitable for

Obese or overweight individuals with metabolic syndrome (e.g., hypertension, hyperlipidemia); patients with type 2 diabetes requiring enhanced glycemic control; individuals with inadequate weight loss outcomes from diet and exercise interventions.
