Description

Retatrutide (LY3437943) is a first-in-class triple agonist peptide that simultaneously activates the GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon receptors. Compared with dual agonists, this innovative triple mechanism delivers more pronounced weight loss, higher energy expenditure, and greater hepatic fat oxidation. In a Phase II clinical trial, retatrutide achieved an average weight loss of 24.2% at 48 weeks; the Phase III TRIUMPH-4 trial showed an average weight loss of approximately 28–29% at 68 weeks, together with significant improvement in knee pain. In addition, retatrutide shows notable advantages in reducing liver fat, lowering glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels, and improving cardiovascular risk markers, with side effects consisting mainly of gastrointestinal reactions similar to those of incretin therapies. Retatrutide represents a new generation of highly effective metabolic therapeutics.

Effects

May help suppress appetite and enhance satiety; supports research related to reductions in body weight and body fat; improves markers of blood glucose and insulin sensitivity; promotes energy expenditure and fat metabolism; may contribute to improvements in blood lipids and metabolism-related markers of fatty liver

Usage

For research or compliant clinical research use only; typically administered by subcutaneous injection after reconstitution, performed by qualified personnel in accordance with the study protocol or physician guidance; dosage, titration pace, and cycle duration must be set according to a formal study protocol; starting at a low dose with gradual titration is recommended, and self-escalation of the dose or long-term use is not permitted

Suitable for

Subjects in research on obesity- or overweight-related metabolic conditions; weight management/fat loss research programs; subjects in research on type 2 diabetes or insulin resistance; individuals requiring use under the monitoring of a professional medical or research institution
