Description

Bacteriostatic Water (often called Bac Water) is a sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative. It is designed to inhibit bacterial growth, allowing multiple uses of the same vial over a period of time (typically up to 28 days). Bac Water is widely used in medical and research fields for reconstituting (mixing) injectable peptides, hormones, growth factors, and drugs such as HCG, Sermorelin, or other lyophilized powders. It is not intended for direct intravenous injection and should not be used as a substitute for sterile water in single-use applications.

Effects

For reconstitution of lyophilized preparations; helps dilute to target concentration; bacteriostatic formulation reduces risk of contamination during multiple withdrawals; improves convenience of preparation and withdrawal.

Usage

No fixed dosage or schedule; add appropriate volume according to the recommended concentration of the target drug or peptide. Before use, disinfect the stopper, use a sterile syringe to withdraw the required volume, slowly inject into the vial of lyophilized powder, gently swirl to dissolve, avoid vigorous shaking. After reconstitution, administer subcutaneously or as specified for the corresponding preparation, following aseptic technique.
